About Mario Cornejo
I am Mario Cornejo, a community leader in Roselle NJ, entrepreneur, and candidate for Councilman of the 3rd Ward.
I am known for bridging local community work with global experience—bringing ideas, leadership, and opportunities from international stages back to the people and neighborhoods I call home.
As the founder of Roselle Insider, a community-driven platform that highlights local events, culture, and businesses, I have dedicated years to strengthening the connection between residents and their community. Through my work as an entrepreneur and international speaker, I have had the opportunity to work across multiple countries, always with a focus on education, collaboration, and growth.
About Mario Cornejo, Community Leader in Roselle NJ
I am Mario Cornejo—a husband, father, community member, entrepreneur, and candidate for Councilman of the 3rd Ward in Roselle, New Jersey.
For over 20 years, Roselle has been home. It is the place where I built my family and found purpose through serving others. Everything I do is rooted in the belief that strong communities are built through connection, opportunity, and respect.
A Life Rooted in Community and Family
While I’ve had the opportunity to travel, teach, and work in different parts of the world, the most important part of my life has always been my family and my community. No recognition or award compares to the responsibility of being present, contributing, and helping create opportunities for others around me.
A Career Built on Creativity, Communication, and Leadership
I am an international award-winning photographer and communicator, with experience in TV and media production. My work has taken me across different countries, where I have had the privilege of teaching, mentoring, and learning from other professionals.
I have been invited to speak and mentor in some of the most important conventions in the industry, helping guide the next generation of creatives and entrepreneurs.
But beyond the recognition, what matters most to me is using those experiences to bring value back to my community.
Creating Opportunities for the Next Generation
A big part of my work has been focused on mentorship and creating access. I volunteer as a mentor with the Photography Club at 4-H Union County, where I work with young people to develop their skills, confidence, and vision. Through my work and business, I have also helped create opportunities for talented individuals—including young people with special needs—and have provided internships for those starting their careers. I believe that when we invest in people, we strengthen the entire community.
A Business Built in Union County
For more than 20 years, I have been a business owner, with our office based in Union County and Roselle Park. Through our work, we have not only built a company—we have created jobs, supported local families, and contributed to the economic growth of our area. I understand what it means to take risks, create opportunities, and build something that supports others.
Recognition and What Truly Matters
I have been honored with national and international recognition, including awards from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). While I am grateful for those achievements, they are not what define me. What defines me is my commitment to my family, my community, and the work I continue to do to create opportunities for others.
